Our team are listed below and are fully qualified and registered with the Canine Hydrotherapy Association UK. We are a vet referral only centre and  offer gold standard therapy at the Ribble Valleys finest.

Steven Maney, Managing Director.

Steve has been opening and building canine businesses for over 12 years, he qualified as a Canine Hydrotherapist in 2012, since then he has personally rehabilitated over one thousand dogs from all over the North West. Steve was also a fully trained dog groomer for 5 years and runs the business development workshops for the Hydro and Groom School students.

Poppy Maney ICMG, Director, Head Groomer

After a flourishing musical theater career in London, Poppy and her husband Steve decided to take the leap and re-train for a career surrounded by dogs. Their first business opened in 2006 and through sheer hard work and passion the pair eventually could invest and build the largest Specialist Canine Centre in the North of England.

Helen McLoughlin Rvn MCHA

Helen has spent the last 22 years working in various vet practices across the Northwest, Vet Nursing was her main role  before she got the chance to move into Rehabilitation .Helen is one of our Senior Canine Hydrotherapists, K Laser class IV Therapist, Registered Vet Nurse and is on our tutor team who qualify new hydrotherapists.

Ruth Halliwell Jones Rvn MCHA

Ruth’s previous work for the last 14 years has been in two veterinary practices in the North west, firstly as a Nurse Assistant but then went on to qualify as a Vet Nurse in 2010. Ruth gained many skills in this time but her interest was animal nutrition, surgical procedures and rehabilitation. Ruth is one of two of our Senior Canine Hydrotherapist has also gained her Class IV Therapeutic K Laser qualification.

Lucianna Churchill Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy

Lucianna successfully completed her 4 year Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Writtle University in Essex, she is also a qualified Hydrotherapist and Qualified K Laser Therapist. She is a member of RAMP and NAVP and has completed extensive research into canine performance injuries and treats both dogs and horses in physiotherapy, K-Laser and Hydrotherapy.

Kerry Gowens, Head Receptionist

In past roles Kerry maintained websites and social media platforms, before moving back to her true love of animals here at Canine Health and Hydro. Her position now consists of looking after all our fabulous “human / owner” clients helping their rehabilitation journeys and making things simple with regards to bookings, payments, re books and calls. Cannot describe how wonderful Ruth was with our 6 month old bulldog Maggie in her first fun session..very impressive, friendly and full of knowledge. Highly recommended.. Maggie loved the session and we loved watching her.
