Canine rehabilitation restores strength, movement and confidence to dogs recovering from surgery, injury, illness or the wear of old age – and helps active dogs stay in peak condition. Rather than relying on a single piece of equipment, we combine every proven therapy in one place and build a plan around your individual dog.
Our centre brings together a custom built heated hydrotherapy pool, two state of the art underwater treadmills, two K-Laser Class IV therapy lasers, qualified veterinary physiotherapy, canine massage and digital stance analysis. Working together, these therapies rebuild muscle, mobilise joints, ease pain and speed healing far more effectively than any one treatment alone.
Every dog begins with a 60 minute assessment. Our qualified team carries out a land, water and digital stance evaluation, then designs a tailored treatment plan with clear goals, home care advice and diet guidance – reviewing progress at every visit and liaising with your vet throughout.
We welcome dogs and cats on referral from across Clitheroe, Whalley, Burnley, Blackburn, Preston and the wider Ribble Valley – and we’re proud that owners travel from much further afield for the standard of care our award winning team provides.

Canine Health & Hydro is a referral only centre, your Vet or Orthopedic Specialist must make your dog’s referral to us before your assessment and taster session using the Refer Online section of this website, this is a very simple process and should take no more than 5 minutes. This can only be completed by your vet or authorized member of their practice. We will also liaise with your vets regarding progress, treatments etc
We are fully qualified and registered with the Canine Hydrotherapy Association UK.
Most insurance companies cover the cost of hydrotherapy and rehabilitation, usually in their complimentary therapy section. Please check your policy beforehand.
